Annual Meeting of the Members
Thank you to everyone who attended this year's Annual Meeting. The attendance was great and quorum was met.
Sun City Christmas Tree Pickup
Waste Management is not picking up live Christmas trees as part of the normal trash collection services. The Huntley Park District is collecting live Christmas trees from Sun City residents during the month of January. Collections are on Monday & Tuesday of each week – please put trees out on Monday. The trees are chipped & used as mulch throughout the Huntley Park District. Residents are requested to place the trees at the end of the driveway on Monday. Trees must be free of lights, ornaments, & tinsel. Any questions can be directed to the Maintenance Dept.
Sun City is Launching a New Recycling Program!
We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Waste Management to launch our new in-house recycling program! The participation of both our residents & staff is vital to the program’s ongoing success. There are recycling bins in the offices, meeting spaces, and public areas of the Prairie Lodge, Meadow View Lodge, Millgrove Woodshop, Tall Oaks Tennis Center, Fountain View Pavilion, & the Indoor/Outdoor swimming pools. This recycling program is single-stream; meaning you may only place clean & dry paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, plastic tubs #1-5 & 7, aluminum cans, and glass together in the recycling bins. For questions on this recycling program, contact: Maria Cruz at Maria.Cruz@sccah.org or 847-515-7260.
